Hello and cheerio! We are Jake and Marsha, happy travelers and bloggers, here to extend an invitation to have you join us in our love of England For All Reasons.

Travel has been a part of our entire lives and was cemented during Jake’s 20-year Navy career. Over 50 years of married life have taken us from coast to coast in the US to many foreign lands including England where we lived in the mid-seventies. Jake was on what is called “exchange” duty from the U.S. Navy to the Royal Navy, assigned to 809 Squadron, the last squadron of Buccaneer aircraft in the RN. As the squadron was hosted by the Royal Air Force at a RAF base in England, we lived in base housing on that RAF Base. This wonderful opportunity allowed us to be immersed in the culture of the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and England as a whole, and we loved it! Many friendships were formed that we treasure to this day.

Our time in England also introduced us to the pleasures of tea, which inspired Marsha to develop her own loose-leaf tea business, Tea For All Reasons, twenty years ago and an online vintage business, Vintage For All Reasons. In addition, Marsha writes on numerous Facebook pages. After retiring from a second career in the IT business, Jake began assisting Marsha in the businesses as well as becoming more devoted to trip planning.

We are blessed with two married daughters and four grandchildren and make our home in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
