Introduction to “Three days in…”

We recently travelled to England and had dear friends join us for a few days. Whilst driving around, our friend suggested that we should add to the website a section giving ideas for what to do in the various areas of the UK to which we had travelled. Her comment was, “What should we do if we have only three days to visit a particular place?”

That comment has become the catalyst for this new section of the website. Here we hope to put in our “Three days in…” comments for those who may be planning or thinking about a trip to the UK and want to get out of London to see the rest of the UK. Areas we will cover from personal experience include Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Kent, the Lake District, the Peak District, Yorkshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Lincoln, Edinburgh and the Cairngorm Highlands. So, we will start with those and then as we explore ourselves, we’ll add new areas.
