Taking Tea

A love affair is what you might call Marsha’s relationship with English Tea, the delicious elixir brewed, sipped and enjoyed through the ages.  It began while we lived in England where she learned not only the proper method for brewing tea but all about the ritual of “Taking Tea.”

With the resurgence in the 1990s of teashops and tearooms all across the United States—as well as in Great Britain for that matter—it became clear that there was a tremendous desire on the part of Americans to know and enjoy the pleasures of tea. Thus, her business, Tea For All Reasonswas born to do just that.

Being in the tea trade has been an exciting and quite enjoyable experience, one that has offered us opportunities to travel to England on a regular basis since 2002. Not only have we received quite an education on loose leaf tea, but we have also experienced first-hand the numerous tea rituals and countless venues where one can enjoy tea all over the United Kingdom.

Dear reader, join us as we share all about the highs and lows, the lofty and humble, the cheapest and most expensive that we have experienced, so far.  We will continue on our quest to find the best tea, scones, savories and sweets (and yes, the champagne) out there!
